While the Jasper High School Band kept people’s toes tapping, the band program’s annual turkey dinner fundraiser served a delicious meal to a nearly packed house March 13.
The Jasper Activity Centre’s multi-purpose hall was filled with people eager to get their hands on a home-cooked turkey dinner that featured mashed potatoes, corn, cranberries, coleslaw, fresh rolls and more.
The fundraising dinner has been happening in Jasper for decades, and judging by the attendance last week—the 39th year the band program has put on the dinner—it should be around for many more.
The funds raised by the annual meal go toward new equipment and band trips.
