For the 10th year in a row, Jasper families packed into festively decorated train cars for an afternoon of Christmas cheer on the rails.
The Santa Train chugged out of Jasper Dec. 3, whisking families away on a train ride through the snowy mountains.
But it wasn’t the scenery the kids were interested in; as the train chugged along eyes and ears were peeled for the man in red; Santa Claus.
The kids caroled and ate candy canes while they waited, and when the big man finally arrived, he handed out goody bags and hugs to the excited children.
Ann Thomas is the event’s organizer. She said that this year the train was once again at full capacity, with tickets selling out quickly. The money raised from the event will support Santas Anonymous.
