Marmot Basin marked its 50th opening with a snowy day of lower mountain magic. On time for first chair, two lifts were open and six runs were groomed and ready to rock: School House, Bunny Hop, Old Road, Tranquilizer, Slow Poke and Sleepy Hollow.
As well as the School House Triple Chair and Eagle Express Quad Chair, the Magic Carpet was open for beginners. To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Marmot Basin will be holding events all season long, with the greatest number taking place during Jasper in January.
