The Jasper Library and Cultural Centre was teaming with youngsters during Family Day, Oct. 1.

In fact, according to organizers more than 50 children showed up with their families to enjoy an afternoon of free activities, including a scavenger hunt, face painting, chalk drawing and a children’s show by Marie-Hélène Hamel, a master puppeteer and street artist.
And it wasn’t just the children who seemed to be having a good time. Seniors also showed up to watch the Francophone show.
Of course it wouldn’t be a true community event without a visit from Jasper the Bear and Parka the Beaver, both of whom also made an appearance.
The event was such a success many parents expressed a desire to see more events like this in the future.
