Sizzling summer heat couldn’t deter thousands of Jasperites and visitors from coming out to celebrate Canada’s 146th birthday on July 1. The day was packed with activities, including the parade, with Jasper the Bear as the honourary parade marshal. Many businesses, community groups and organizations entered spectacular floats and handed out candy. Canada’s birthday ended with celebrations and fireworks at Centennial Park.
