The municipality is asking for the public鈥檚 assistance in identifying who is responsible for illegally dumping a 鈥渄iesel-like substance鈥� on Birch Avenue on or around March 13.
The Municipality of Jasper鈥檚 Enforcement Department was alerted to the illegal dumping around 7 p.m. that evening.
According to Matt Hogan, community peace officer, the responding officer then went to investigate and observed an 8-by-14 foot spot covered in a diesel-like substance.
Parks Canada and the Jasper Fire Department were then contacted and the substance was cleaned off the road.
