Following the service a reception will be held at the Jasper Royal Canadian Legion.

Budget deliberations begin Nov. 28
The municipality will begin two days of budget deliberations on Nov. 28, and is inviting the public to hear first hand about next year’s proposed operating budget, capital budget and utility rates.
The public meetings will take place Nov.Ìý 28 and 29 at 7 p.m. in the council chambers (downstairs) at the Jasper Library and Cultural Centre.
The municipality is also reminding locals to fill out its resident satisfaction survey to help support the 2017 budget process.Ìý
The survey can be completed online through the town’s website or a paper copy can be picked up at municipal facilities.
The survey is open until Nov. 23 and those that complete it will be entered into a draw to win one of four prizes, including 50 per cent off your next residential water and sewer bill (up to $150).
Respondents must be at least 18 years of age or older and reside in Jasper.
J9 Sparkle Foundation hosts winter events
Ward off the winter blues with the organizers of the J9 Sparkle Foundation, a local group dedicated to raising awareness and funds for mental health.
The foundation has organized three fun events for Nov. 20, which includes a spaghetti supper, trauma sensitive yoga and an expressive writing class.
The events will be held at the Jasper Royal Canadian Legion.
The cost for each event varies, but all proceeds will go to the foundation.

Seniors Lodge looking for donations
Calling all bakers
The Alpine Summit Seniors Lodge is looking for baked goods and donations for a silent auction to support its annual Cookie Walk, Dec. 3.
In addition to an array of delectable goods, Santa will also be on hand for pictures.
Money from the fundraiser will go to the seniors’ activity fund, to support various activities throughout the year.Ìý
