Inspiration for space exploration

Dear Editor, I wasn’t sure what to expect before attending the two-hour presentation with Jay Ingram and Chris Hadfield this past weekend, but when the show was over I was left with a feeling of pride and inspiration.

Dear Editor,

I wasn’t sure what to expect before attending the two-hour presentation with Jay Ingram and Chris Hadfield this past weekend, but when the show was over I was left with a feeling of pride and inspiration.

Jay Ingram presented a wonderful history lesson on humanity’s imagination and inspiration to take us in to the future of space exploration.

Kudos, and bravo to Commander Hadfield for using his talent and love for art to bring inspiration to generations of Canadians to come. Things really started to hit home when he referenced the duet he performed with Ed Robertson from the Barenaked Ladies, and how thousands of students across the country sang along with him from space, claiming that art communicates with Canadian children showing them exactly what Canadians do for space exploration.

Huge thanks to Tourism Jasper and Parks Canada for holding this event and keeping Jasper on the dark sky map for years to come.
