In hopes of getting Jasper on the route map in the future, Mayor Richard Ireland, left, and Coun. Dwain Wacko, right, travelled to Edmonton for the start of the 900-kilometre Tour of Alberta bike race last week. The inaugural race took professional cyclists from Edmonton to Calgary, through the prairies, badlands and Rocky Mountains, Sept. 3鈥�8. While in Edmonton, Ireland and Wacko connected with Edmonton mayor, Stephen Mandel (middle).
