The home team dropped game one 16-10 and came close in game two with a final score of 16-13.

Henri Leclerc, Callum Campbell and Jake Kertesz-Knight pitched for Jasper in the first contest, while Thomas Leclerc handled the catching duties. The Leclerc brothers both hit singles for the Bears along with Wyatt Bell, Kertesz-Knight, Donovan Fawcett and Nash Hilworth.

Gage Leblanc, Dexter Fawcett and Hilworth shared the mound in game two. Catching was split between Hilworth and Thomas Leclerc. Donovan Fawcett led the Bears’ offense with a pair of triples, chalking up three runs for Jasper. Dexter Fawcett also belted a triple, while Mac Carmichael and Kertesz-Knight each pounded a pair of singles. Campbell and Henri Leclerc recorded one single a piece.

Rowan Koss, Dylan Gerwatoski and Matthieu Marchand all contributed solid efforts for the Bears in both games.

The Jasper Pee Wee Bears were also slated to close out the season with a doubleheader on Saturday, but unfortunately the St. Albert Cardinals cancelled. The Pee Wees ended the fall season with a perfect 6-0 record.

Both Jasper baseball teams will be back on the diamonds in the spring of 2017.
