Get involved in the Maligne Valley Implementation Strategy
Parks Canada is working on a plan that outlines management actions for the next five to eight years in the Maligne Valley. This plan, also known as the Implementation Strategy, will add details to broad commitments in Jasper National Parks 2010 Management Plan for enhancing visitor experience and achieving conservation goals in the valley.
The process for developing the Implementation Strategy will have two phases. Public involvement is desired for both phases, so please come out and share your ideas with us.
Phase I: Reviewing the current situation in the Maligne Valley
Jasper National Park 2013 Annual Public Forum
Wednesday, Nov. 6, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Multipurpose Hall, Activity Centre
On Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Jasper National Park Annual Public Forum, we will provide an overview of the Situation Analysis. We will be asking participants what would success look like for you in our management of the Maligne Valley?
If you cannot attend the Annual Public Forum, you can get involved by reviewing information on the Implementation Strategy at the Jasper National Park website, www.pc.gc.ca, or by contacting us at [email protected] for a copy of the Maligne Valley Situation Analysis (after Oct. 31). You can also provide comments to [email protected].
Phase II: Discussing proposed actions for the Maligne Valley
In phase two, you will once again have an opportunity to provide feedbackthis time on the proposed management actions for the Maligne Valley. Please stay involved by checking our website for timelines and more information on opportunities to be involved.
