With winter just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about your next adventure.

To help get those creative juices flowing, Jasper National Park has produced its annual winter guide that will hit the shelves of the Information Centre later this week. The 24-page publication contains everything you need to know about what’s happening in the park for the next few months.

It includes lots of maps and guides for getting around not just in the town of Jasper, but also on the numerous winter trails and winter hubs. The guide looks at a number of the winter pursuits in the park including winter camping, snowshoeing, fat biking, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, walking and skating.

There are pages dedicated to exploring Maligne Valley, Parks Canada’s measures to help caribou and other wildlife at this time of year, along with the winter hub at Marmot Meadows, which includes a special experience to close out 2016 in style.

The publication also contains important tips and safety information that will be helpful for those trips up and down the Icefields Parkway.
You can view Jasper National Park’s winter guide online at www.pc.gc.ca/jasper or pick up your own copy at the Information Centre in downtown Jasper.
