Brand new curlers—folks who had never before held a broom on the ice—took to the curling rink the last two Wednesdays to try their hand at one of Canada’s winter pastimes.
The Learn to Curl sessions were hosted by the Jasper Curling Club Nov. 19 and 26 and attracted more than a dozen eager Jasperites, who wobbled their way from the hack to the hog line, releasing their very first rocks.
The lessons were free and only required curlers to bring a pair of clean running shoes and a positive attitude.
