Ladies of all ages gathered at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge last weekend to jump on beds, throw pillows, eat candy and dance in their pyjamas with Canadian icon, Jann Arden.
This grown-up PJ Party is a revamped version of the 17-year-old event the hotel has been hosting for years, said Stefanie Hamilton, marketing and public relations manager for JPL.
In the past, the weekend-long event had women visit JPL to learn how to play poker and do their finances. But that approach was getting stale, only attracting 89 women in 2013.
So this year, the girl鈥檚 weekend got an overhaul. Instead of attending numerology workshops and dealing out cards, this year the 300 women in attendance learned how to Bollywood dance, decorate cakes, arrange flowers, mix drinks, make mini meringues and party plan.
And, to top it all off, they also got to meet Jann Arden, who was there to host the weekend.
鈥淭his year it鈥檚 more about letting loose,鈥� said Hamilton.
