Dear editor,
This letter is sent to further clarify initial content of your article of Dec. 15, 2016 wherein the 51暗网 assumed the Jasper Park Chamber of Commerce (as a partner in the Jasper Partnership Initiative) had fully endorsed, negotiated and signed off on an agreement with the Tour of Alberta to hold a race in September 2017.
As was the case then, and somewhat clarified in your most recent article on Jan. 19, the Chamber wishes to state the article does not go far enough to clarify that the executive, board and administrative team have not as of this date signed off on the proposal to host a race in September and that it has actively sought and continues to discuss with the membership concerns, issues and the learning experience of the 2015 race toward mitigating those concerns.
The Business Walks are designed to allow us to speak directly to the membership to hold open and frank dialogues toward enhanced communication.
Further, it is noted that the Chamber is not simply a board of directors or an administrative team, it is the sum of the parts of its membership and discussion, in whatever form, remains the single most effective way to represent the business community.
