Hinton RCMP are requesting public assistance in identifying a suspect in a truck theft that occurred last week.

On June 29 at 7:07 p.m., police received a 911 call of a theft of a truck that had been parked at the Valley Freson Bros located at 116 Market Street in Hinton.

"Hinton RCMP’s efforts to locate the stolen truck have been unsuccessful and we are asking for the public's assistance for any information in relation to this incident or identifying those responsible," RCMP stated in a release.

Hinton RCMP's investigation indicates the truck was parked directly in front of the store.

The truck is described as a white 2003 Ford F-350 with distinctive blue flames on the side and a sled deck.

The licence plate number is CGV0031.
