Linda Morgan’s Grade 1 class was filled with the sound of squealing children and chirping chicks last week, after the eggs the students had carefully cared for cracked, revealing fluffy baby chickens. The eggs, which came from Valemount, were in an incubator in the classroom for 21 days before the chicks broke free. This was the first time the Jasper Elementary School brought in eggs, but Morgan said she’d love to do it again. “The kids were such great little care givers.” The chicks were sent back to Valemount to their “forever home” this week.
