Park Stewards
Park Stewards are needed to act as occasional on-call volunteers for several short-term volunteer projects this coming summer season. These volunteers may be asked to help out on a variety of projects relating to the environmental stewardship of the park, restoration of certain cultural resource sites or other short-term needs that may arise from time to time. No minimum commitment is required—volunteers will be joining a pool of other interested people. Say “Yes” to the projects you are available for and help out once or as many times as you can throughout the summer. This opportunity is great for those who have short notice on their schedules or changing availability, but still want to get involved.
Caribou Ambassadors
Caribou ambassadors are needed to contribute several times a month from June to October, helping to spread information and awareness about caribou country and the importance of this species at risk in Jasper National Park. Volunteers will work in teams, sometimes with Parks Canada staff and sometimes with other Caribou Ambassadors. There is a small training commitment of one to two days in mid to late June; following that volunteers are requested to contribute an average of two times per month throughout the period. This opportunity is ideal for folks passionate about this iconic animal and who want to make a lasting difference in caribou conservation. Volunteers could be based anywhere within the region, but will need to know their availability well in advance. For more information on this opportunity, check out .
