The 10th annual Jasper Park Chamber of Commerce (JPCC) Ambassador & Business Awards Gala will recognize local businesses, organizations and individuals for their accomplishments and contributions in 2022.
The event, which is being held at the Forest Park Hotel on Nov. 4, seeks to celebrate success stories from private citizens, businesses, corporations and non-profit organizations in Jasper during the past year.
We are so excited to return to an in-person event this year and we cant wait to celebrate our business community and residents, said Pattie Pavlov, executive director of JPCC.
The number of nominations and the very nature of them show spirit, dedication and, importantly, appreciation for those who go that extra mile.
This year, two citizens and 16 businesses or organizations have been nominated in nine categories.
The judges who will choose the winners of the awards in the various categories are three local residentsone from the non-profit sector, one from the business community and another from the community-at-large. (Disclaimer: this author is the latter-mentioned judge.)

Peoples Choice
Also known as the Voluntold Award, those attending the gala will be presented with a ballot with the names of all the nominees upon entering and the nominee with the most votes will be presented with the prestigious award.
After two years of subdued awards presentations due to the pandemic, the celebration will once again be an in-person affair with Ralph Melnyk, town councillor and longtime local business advocate, emceeing the event.
The winners of each award will also be recognized in the 51做厙.
