And so, here we go. It’s time to get your holiday shopping boots on and pack that reusable bag with some exciting stuff.

Moonlight Madness is about 24 hours away from this publication and we know you’re just as excited as we are to explore shops, grab a nibble or two and of course enjoy a beverage to fortify your experience.

At this point, Jasper Park Chamber of Commerce would also like to welcome runners to the inaugural run occurring on Saturday, Nov. 26. Cheers to all the participants – see you at the Moonlight Madness event (and remember to bring your race bib – could net you a wee bit more of a deal at some of the participating merchants). Thank you to Trevor Soll, Multisportscanada and, of course, those volunteers that will be along the course.

Great segue to thanking all our local merchants for their participation in this new event and always for participating in Moonlight Madness. For many, it is the day of the year when everyone joins in the fun to celebrate the start of the holiday season. What’s not to love? Truly, from retailers, to restaurants, to pubs – there are deals for everyone and JPCC couldn’t be prouder to coordinate this Jasper tradition.

On a random side note, but an important one, the Jasper Park Chamber is also excited to be hosting the annual Holiday Party at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. On top of our usual opening shenanigans, seasonal revelers can expect an exceptional menu and our almost world-famous silent auction. Did we mention the dancing part? Yes, there are a ton of tunes to cut a rug. We are so pleased to be returning to the good old days when the silent auction was in person and so were the items. An incredible assortment of treasures is up for bid and, well, frankly, it’s another opportunity to support local by partaking in a bit of extra holiday shopping, right?

With one edition of Chamber Matters remaining in 2022, it is our honour, pride and joy to wish you all a most wonderful Moonlight Madness experience and we’ll see you on the dance floor at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge on Dec. 2, 2022.

Pattie Pavlov is the executive director of the Jasper Park Chamber of Commerce.
