We are pleased to announce that we will hold our Fall Dinner now on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the Jasper Activity Centre. Please RSVP to our email below by Friday, Nov. 3, at the latest.
For those of you who have responded, thank you, but we need more replies as soon as possible.
You can email to [email protected] or text to Janis at 780-931-6787.
There will be a $30 cost for the Ham Dinner and the evening entertainment. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and dinner will be served at 5:30 pm. Our entertainment will be a band known as Sons and Daughter who will be performing a mix of favourite original songs by Elvis and The Beatles.
The 23rd annual Festival of Trees fundraiser event for the Jasper Yellowhead Museum and Archives is coming.
Your executive is asking that if you wish to support this event to please bring something along to our donation box, which will be at the Fall Dinner. Donations will be used to decorate/sponsor a tree with various items. Some ideas for your donation may be a Christmas ornament, a gift card to any of the businesses in town or any gift item you would like. Please consider this request as this would be our first ever contribution. Thank you to those who have already donated an item.
For those of you who may not come to the dinner, please email us and we would be glad to pick up any donation.
Glenda the Great Catering has a new schedule for meals on wheels. If this type of service is of value to you, please contact Janeen Keelan at Community Outreach Services by emailing [email protected].
Another reminder as fall and winter approaches, please pick up your free pass at the front desk
to the Jasper Activity and Fitness Centre if you are 75 years of age or older!
Unfortunately, due to lack of interest no Christmas outing is planned….we hope to have a Spring outing.
Breaking news! The annual Jasper Rotary Club Seniors’ Lunch at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge will be on Wednesday, Dec. 6. Please mark your calendar and share this with your friends.
We wish to thank the Jasper Rotary Club and Jasper Park Lodge for making this event a favourite Christmas tradition.
The Jasper Municipal Library has many activities and events planned for November that may be of interest to you.
Support the Society that supports you! Please offer our Jasper Seniors Society as a charitable donation recipient when shopping at TGP.
Anyone over 55 years of age can join the society for a nominal $10 fee and receive newsletters and invitations to various planned outings and functions throughout the year. The objectives of the society, in part, are to promote the interests of seniors as well as to coordinate the services available to seniors in the community. The society manages and maintains a Seniors’ Lounge in the Activity Centre where our monthly meetings take place on the second Monday of each month.
Our next meeting will be on Monday, Nov. 13, at 1:30 p.m. at the Seniors’ Lounge at the Jasper Activity Centre.
All seniors are welcome to attend and see what we are about. You can then decide if membership will be a benefit to you. If you have any ideas or wish to voice any concerns, please feel free to contact Janis Marks at 780-852-3973 or emailing [email protected]. Let us know how we can make everyday living better for all seniors in Jasper.
