“The thread of the ‘guroove’ runs deep in Samson’s Delilah,” says Gustafson, who feels the audience will not be disappointed by the “fusion and spell that Samson’s Delilah weave.”
Macdonald and Gustafson have shared the stage with such performers as Donne Roberts, OKA, Linda McRae, Rachelle Van Zanten, Sarah Noni Metzner, Maria in the Shower, Delhi to Dublin, Don Alder, Brian Macmillan, Mihirangi and Coco Love Alcorn.
As head organizers of the Robson Valley Music Festival, an event that occurs every summer on their front lawn in Dunster, B.C., they are seasoned musicians and music lovers.
Samson’s Delilah promises to take their audience on an intimate journey with Gustafson’s haunting and powerful voice, as well as Macdonald’s intense and changing guitar licks.
“Definitely one of my favourites. Go ahead and take a trip with Seth and Shara,” said Lionel Conant, artistic director of Mini-MoM Festival, Cottonwood Music Festival and Music on the Mountain Festival.
Whether in a small room or on an outdoor stage, Samson’s Delilah have played for audiences as varied as their tunes and they promise not to disappoint.
Samson’s Delilah will be performing with Shane Philip at the Valemount Curling Club on Friday, April 12 and also at the Jasper Legion on Saturday, April 13. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. and tickets are $15 for both shows.
