The attendees experienced a delightful afternoon, connecting with others in the serene backyards of locals and savouring moments of mindfulness as they explored six different oases.
You may have stopped to smell the roses or asked the gardener what that flower is and learned that Popcorn Cassia’s leaves in fact smell like buttered popcorn.
Maybe you learned the key to starting your own hydroponics or greenhouse at home.
Everyone has their favourite story to tell after taking the Secret Garden Tour.
Agnes and Olga had a delightful ride on the Dhamma Wheels, and we are grateful to Patrick Mooney for generously volunteering to take them on the tour.
Is this the first you have heard about the Secret Garden Tour? It's a self-guided tour where you get to explore local gardens at your own pace.
We were so excited to have it back after three long years, and we appreciate everyone who joined us this year.
It's never too early to start planning for next year. Please contact the library if you're interested in participating in or helping plan a garden tour.
The library has lots of other awesome events going on this summer.
On Aug. 2, we're hosting an Open Mic Night, and we've got plenty of other Summer Reading Club options to keep you busy too.
If you come to our Tuesday activities at 3 p.m. and Saturday Storytime at 10:30 a.m., participate in our battle of the books and complete your bingo sheet, you can earn some prize ballots for Lego, art supplies, stuffies, Cubz Play Café gift card and other great prizes.
And if you're an adult, we've got a summer reading challenge bingo just for you.
The adult prizes are a cat mug, an infuser water bottle, and an Andromeda gift card.
The winners of all the prizes will be announced on Aug. 30.
