A package containing over $143,000 in contraband and unauthorized items was seized at Grande Cache Institution on Tuesday (April 1).
The contraband and unauthorized items seized included methamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis concentrate, a cell phone and a USB stick.
The total estimated institutional value of these seizures is $143,150.

This comes after $60,100 and $226,865 in contraband and unauthorized items were seized at Grande Cache Institution on Jan. 31 and March 18, respectively.
According to CSC, various tools are used to prevent drugs from entering its institutions, including ion scanners and drug-detector dogs.
CSC has a tip line at 1‑866‑780‑3784 to receive any additional information about activities related to security at federal institutions.
