Maple Blues Award Nominee Tim Vaughn is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Once there was a boy from the Rocky Mountains right near the great divide. The mountains would speak and he would write and this was how it was to be. The boy grew to be a man and had to leave the mountains for the prairies. There he found others.

Mississippi Delta native, Bronwynne Brent, is a contemporary folk singer-songwriter entrenched in the rough authenticity only those who really know can claim.

Based out of the mountain town of Jasper, Alberta, the Randal Scott Band plays an eclectic blend of original music rooted in the Canadian prairies. They’re a four piece band with instrumentation ranging from tuba to tambourine.

Seafaring Celtic punk rockers Some Irish Pirates are a swashbuckling five-piece from Jasper. They were the winners in the band category of Battle Royale, the local battle of the bands competition, winning them a slot on the festival line up.

On stage, Five Alarm Funk is an unstoppable orgy of energy. Ten musicians perform intricate and airtight arrangements with delirious dance moves and full-on head banging.
